oh, that... sigh, I hope that I will remember to keep it "on" (and GET MOVING and GO SOMEWHERE!!!!! already!!!!!!!.
Actually I initially thought it would just email you updates without you having to join anything (It was just letting me pick names from my contacts.) Seemed to only explain that explicitly that you had to join first once I added (er, invited) you. After I realized that I figured you likely might not go for it (too much like Facebook, I figured.) But good, so I better make sure I know how to use it now! "Ping"? will need to learn about that...
I also invited Stephen - and he text-chatted me this morning to ask about it. Don't know yet whether he will "take the bait". Don't think I'll go beyond you two that at this point.
I suspect one has to be super vigilant to not inadvertently make ones updates public.
