PCT: at the Julian library

The Borrego-Julian bus dropped me off here in at the Julian library 15 minutes before it opened, after catching that bus 15 minutes earlier in Banner.  I had tried hitching during the half hour I was waiting for the bus - using the "Hiker to Town" towel that Terry & Steve had given to me - but at about one car per five minutes, no luck - everyone passing me just rubbernecking at this old dude in fresh white shirt and clean pants.  Got into those "dress duds" this morning half way up the Rodriguez Truck trail an hour earlier where I overnighted perched at a broad switchback just above a fence-line that I assumed marked a private property line. All the previous days' overnights were along the trail, after leisurely 1 mile/hr walks interrupted by innumerable stops to take pictures of the peak springtime bloom.  Nirvana!
I expect to be here in the library for a while longer this morning...
Cell phone out of power.  Had borrowed a micro adapter from another hiker up on Lagina Mt that I used for a few hours to charge my phone from my battery pack that I'd been keeping charged fron my solar panel, but surprisingly, I had "no service" there on top of the mt!  Assumed it was T Mobile had no towers nearby - odd that this would be the case.   Tried a few times more over the next few days descending the northern ridge toward Julian - even tried after swapping SIM cards to my AT&T.  Still "No Service"!  Really odd!  Checked all my settings and they seemed in order...  Don't know what's up there!  Technology! Makes me just want to go take a long walk!
