I was at the Forest Service place in Idyllwild this morning (getting a fire permit) and happened to overhear that some of the campgrounds in the Black Mt area are closed til about a week from now. Unfortunately I didn't think to follow up with clarification about access to trailhead at that time (was trying to get info on where I might be able to park overnight...) Actually I'm eager to get some more hiking in the next day or so - maybe I'll just go there this afternoon and see how far I can get.
