had a chance while doing laundry today to process a few picts - of
some Bighorn Sheep that I saw along Hwy 78 on the way down to Borrego Springs.
You can see them here: http://www.muddyknees.net/PCT/20120319AnzaBighornSheep
Tomorrow my CNPS friends and I plan to hike the "Eagle Rock" section of trail from
Hwy79 (S22) north to Warner Springs, then I'll leave my car at that
trailhead (near the "Barrel Springs" waypoint on the PCT), be driven south with my backpack to "Scissors Crossing" (Hwy 78 & S2) where I'll overnight, then take 2 or 3 days hiking the San Felipe Hills portion of trail back to my car.
BTW, although the San Felipe Hills here at the northern edge of the Anza Borrego desert are quite low elevation, which is why I want to do them now before they get too hot, just a day ago they were blanketed with snow, from the storm that blew though here a few days ago.
