Roadtrip: Ruby Mts Angels Creek Campground July reservations

6PM 3/13/2012
Ruby Mountaineers,
Lamoille Canyon did not have sites when we wanted them. The Angel's Creek camp said you had to reserve Fri night if you wanted to stay Sat night, so we are to arrive on Sunday and stay there on Monday night, too. It cost $99 which I will figure out once we know how many people are going. As of now, ten. Kerry and Roger can't go. I am going to say anyone who doesn't contact me by tomorrow will have to arrange their own camping site for the first two nights. I reserved two sites next to each other and another one site away. There is a problem I hope we can solve. They only want 2 tents and two cars per site.  6 tents, ten people, and I hate sharing a tent - even w. Rob't. Redford. I guess it's the picnic table for me! The ranger I spoke to from the area said if we have extra cars, but still have 8 or fewer campers per site, we could park the extra vehicles (after unloading them) at the trailhead nearby. She said there are places we can camp on Harrison Rd. Ben, you have a map? After these 2 nights, it's going to be up to us to find another camping site. The ones with any facilities are likely to be reserved yesterday. I think we ought to meet at some point and figure out where we are going to go. Ben you probably have some idea where else we can camp, and we can consult with the NNPS people in Elko. In the interest of saving time, I'd really like for us to have everything figured out beforehand that we can, including plan Bs should our destinations turn out badly. Also Ann & David need to know where we are. I am driving w. Judith, but I don't know of anyone else's plans.

ML,
OK, count me "IN", as it is somewhat consistent with my general traveling plans (southern portion PCT hike this spring, road trip northwest then east via Yellowstone then way-east to visit family in New England this fall.)
Thanks for doing the research to set this up!

ML,
If you had indicated which week in July that this trip is planned, I think I missed it. Since there were many suggestions due to personal availability, I was not sure if a date was decided. Thanks making this trip happen, and camp site arrangement. I'll have to look at Ben's maps to get a clue of these locations.

I'm still in.  Thanks for doing all this planning; ML!  Sleeping outside of a tent is a fine option for moi--unless...
